Pinecast Oral History Project

Pine Island has a long and storied history full of colorful characters, unique places, and hilarious events. This history has had a meaningful impact on many Pine Island alumni and it deserves to be recorded and celebrated.

To celebrate Pine Island's Centennial in 2002, we produced a comprehensive history of Pine Island - Pine Island: The First Hundred Years. We followed that up with two collections of memories that Pine Islanders submitted orally and in writing as part of the centennial celebration, which you can read here:

Pine Island Memories 1902-2002 Volume 1 (PDF, 5.4mb)

Pine Island Memories 1902-2002 Volume 2 (PDF, 4.7mb)

Now, almost twenty years later, we have joined the podcast era and we are proud to introduce the new Pinecast Oral History Project. This project documents our history by showcasing some of PIC's most iconic personalities.

Season One Episodes
